“The success of New York City’s World  Cup efforts to date reflects the strong foundation she helped build with partners across  government, business, and communities throughout the five boroughs. Her leadership  and collaboration helped make possible the City’s additional $4.5 million investment in  welcoming the world to New York and ensuring that residents, businesses, and visitors  alike benefit from this historic opportunity.

“Julie arrived in New York with an exceptional record of leadership and results, and she  quickly made a meaningful impact on our city’s tourism industry. Her appointment to  lead Visit California reflects the reputation she has earned throughout her career and  the confidence the industry places in her leadership. On behalf of all New Yorkers, I  thank her for her service and wish her every success in this next chapter.”

“Serving as President and CEO of NYC Tourism + Conventions has been an  extraordinary privilege,” said Coker.

“New York City is unlike anywhere else in the  world, and I am so proud of what we have accomplished together – across our Board,  staff, industry partners, stakeholders, and multiple city administrations in all five  boroughs. We have an incredible story to tell the world, and I am deeply grateful for the  people and communities who continue to support our organization’s work and make this  industry so special.
