Moulin Rouge! The Musical’s pride performance for Latino LGBTQ youth

A special Pride Month performance on Broadway tonight. 75 young members of the Latino LGBTQ community were treated to a showing of the award-winning Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

The Broadway show teamed up with the Ali Forney Center, a support group for LGBTQ plus homeless youth to make this a night to remember for the kids.

Well, I think that everybody deserves to have the opportunity to be, you know, happy to be seen, to feel appreciated. A lot of them struggle on a daily basis. And for us, it’s important that they feel welcome, that they feel loved and praised, you know, and this is one way to show them some care.

The night of celebration also included a post-show question and answer session with the performers.
